Nawras Scoops Four Prizes At The 6th Pan Arab Web Awards In Muscat

Published Jun 29, 2010

Nawras, a Qtel Group company, is delighted to be the winner of four different prizes at this year’s Pan Arab Web Award ceremony, held in the Sultanate of Oman for the first time. The recent prize giving ceremony saw Nawras walk away with the evening’s highest number of awards for one Omani company, in recognition of its pleasingly different website: www.nawras.om.

The Nawras website has won awards every year since the company started back in 2005. This important communication channel is used to share the latest news, exciting promotions, customer friendly services and helpful details of all the innovations launched by this dynamic operator. Customers can use the website to find help with every aspect of their pleasingly different communications experience and now as the company successfully grows further to become a full service provider, customers can also learn about the opportunities they will soon be able to enjoy with the new fixed services.

“We are thrilled that once again our website has been recognised at the Pan Arab Web Awards and for the very first time, we are delighted to have won prizes in four different categories. Nawras considers where and how you buy as well as how you pay and get help and is committed to giving customers a rewarding experience including when they visit our website. It is an important tool for us to provide information whenever and wherever our customers want it,” said Idris Al-Balushi, Nawras online and content manager.

Nawras was recognised with prizes in the categories of telecommunication services, ICT, services and entertainment, reflecting the diversity and extent of its website reach. The Pan Arab Web Awards 2010 are the latest in a string of awards bestowed on Nawras and last year’s event saw CEO Ross Cormack named as Telecommunication Man of the Year.

In other recent awards, Nawras was named ‘Leader in Telecommunications’ at the Arab Achievement Awards as well as picking up ‘Customer Service Provider of the Year, Middle East and Africa’, from CommsMEA.

As Nawras becomes a full service provider by adding fixed services to its successful mobile offering, its award winning website is becoming even more useful for customers looking for information about all the exciting new services that they can benefit from today as a business customer, and very soon with their family at home.
