The event was organized by “Sohbet Kheir” NGO that has been organizing this event since 2005.
This is the 34th “1000 Kids Festival” to take place drawing a smile on underprivileged kids such as street children and orphans.
“We are very honored and proud to cooperate with Ericsson on such a noble cause. The event is a full day for underprivileged children where they get the opportunity to play games, sports and also learn. Moreover, this event aims at raising the moral of those kids by connecting with them to understand their problems and needs,” explained Maha El Daly, Head of Sohbet Kheir NGO.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to Ericsson sponsorship of the event, Ericsson Egypt employees as well participated by spending the whole day with the kids playing games, teaching them new things, singing songs and even exchanging ideas.
Ericsson has been doing business in the Northern Africa region for almost 130 years, during which it has been very active in social activities ranging from donation of money and equipment such as Bluetooth kits for universities, equipment for ambulances, blood donations to hospitals, and even the renovation of children’s libraries.
“We are really happy to take part in such an event as we believe that big organizations such as Ericsson should set examples in caring about the communities we work in and support the government in making a change,” said Dina El Shenawi, Head of Marketing and Communications at Ericsson North Africa.
