USN Joining Government And Industry Officials To Address The Iraqi Telecoms Industry

Istanbul: The Iraq Telecoms conference programme is evolving, with the USN joining the conference, on a very senior level, both The RDML Hank Bond, Director, Communications & Information Systems (J6) Iraq , USN and the Rear Admiral David G Simpson, Director, Communications & Information Systems (J6),– Iraq, USN will be addressing the Iraq Telecoms on the morning of the 2nd of November.

The USN senior officials will be joining the already impressive list of key telecommunications government officials and service companies meeting in Istanbul this year to discuss the policies shaping the future of the sector and the involvement of multinational corporations.

Iraq Telecoms is the largest and most prestigious gathering for the Iraqi Telecommunications industry, bringing together the industry’s leading players to address new partnerships, future projects and tenders. With full support from the Iraqi Telecommunications Ministry, the CMC, The Iraqi Parliament and the KRG MOC the agenda will focus on Government policies towards the sector and the involvement of multinational corporations.

In a statement regarding the upcoming conference His Excellency H.E. Farook Abdulqadir Abdulrahman the Iraqi Minister of Communications described Iraq Telecoms as providing “a platform for national and international business leaders, investors and vendor to network, exchange ideas and identify new opportunities in this growing market”.

The USN Communications and Information Systems will also be sending a large delegation to the Iraq Telecoms 2010 conference to meet and network with industry colleagues and peers from service providers and technology suppliers.

The event offers an excellent range of networking functions to maximise participation and enable delegates to make the most of their time away from the office including breakfasts hosted by Korek and Dragonwave, coffee breaks hosted by Alcatel Lucent and Huawei, corporate luncheons hosted by Zain and CDN and the networking highlight; a Cruise Tour on the Bosphorus River, hosted by Fast Iraq, with welcome remarks from the Managing Director of the Fast Iraq, Timothy Moore.

One-to-one prearranged industry meetings are also available with telecoms decision makers in Iraq.
