Avaya Set To Transform Business Collaboration At GITEX 2010

Published Oct 7, 2010

As Collaboration becomes the future of business communications, Avaya is set to transform the face of business collaboration at Gitex Technology Week 2010. Avaya will, for the first time, showcase its Avaya Flare™ Experience, an industry-first family of next-generation, real-time enterprise video communications and collaboration products and services that delivers unique collaboration capabilities and an intuitive end-user experience across video, voice and text. This rollout is Avaya’s latest delivery against the multi-phase product roadmap that Avaya introduced in January.

With Avaya Flare as its centerpiece, Avaya’s focus this year is on a suite of new and enhanced product innovations and services based on Avaya Aura™, a breakthrough SIP based architecture that easily integrates communications across multi-vendor, multi-location and multi-modal businesses. The new suite redefines economics and effectiveness of real-time, multi-media enterprise communications. It makes it possible for regional businesses to simultaneously accelerate decision-making and achieve meaningful financial impact, while moving enterprises towards a more people-centric approach to collaboration. Avaya will also showcase its market leading data networking, virtual collaboration, video conferencing and SME solutions.

“Our participation this year is significant, as we will be presenting enhanced and innovative solutions following on from our integrated product roadmap post the Nortel Enterprise Solutions acquisition earlier this year,” said Nidal Abou-Ltaif, area vice president – Emerging Markets, Avaya. “The launch of Avaya Flare marks a milestone for Avaya - and, indeed, the industry - as it transforms how companies communicate by providing open, flexible collaboration applications that help businesses streamline processes, make faster decisions and compete more effectively.”

Abou-Ltaif adds: “Employees are looking for efficient and easy-to use means to increase productivity. Avaya is making this technology available which allows users to connect simply via easy-to-use, fully integrated video, voice and text capabilities. This is the heart of Avaya’s people-centric approach to collaboration and the means to faster, better results with less effort and a lower total cost of ownership. We’re delivering a more potent collaboration experience at one-third of the cost using substantially less bandwidth over other solutions today.”

Visitors can experience the Avaya Flare family of real-time enterprise video communications and collaboration products and services that deliver a simpler and more compelling end user experience. The new solutions, which range from personal desktop to multi-screen room systems, make high definition, low bandwidth video collaboration accessible for more employees in more enterprises at one-third of the cost of competing solutions using significantly less bandwidth.

“This year, we will also be reaching out to customers and partners to present the new Avaya on a single platform,” adds Abou-Ltaif. “We will reinforce our commitment to providing Avaya customers with advanced communications and the capabilities they need to manage and grow their organizations. We have combined our expertise, technology, channel base and resources to produce an expanded go-to-market strategy that will continue to serve large enterprises, mid-size enterprises, and small businesses across the region. As always, we hope to understand better the needs of our customers and provide them with solutions that help them reduce their communications costs, do more with less, and change the way they do business. Our customers can expect nothing but consistency and innovation from the new Avaya.”

Gitex takes place from October 17-21 at the Dubai International Convention Centre. Avaya’s stand is located in the GulfComms’ Zabeel Hall number Z-D10.
