Norton from Symantec will showcase the newly launched Norton Internet Security 2011 and Norton AntiVirus 2011 that have been carefully engineered to exceed already industry-leading performance and protection benchmarks. Symantec industry experts will be on-hand at GITEX to meet with customers and discuss the new products.
Norton will use a ‘Black Market briefcase’ exhibit to show customers how cyber criminals operate and the tactics they use to steal from victims, including keystroke logging, phishing scams and search engine result poisoning together with illustrations of how identities can be bought and sold online – and for so little. The briefcase includes a collection of tools and materials that arm potential victims with facts, figures and most importantly methods to combat the growing network of cyber criminal organisations. In addition, Norton will showcase its new videos of action stars, David Hasselhoff and Dolph Lundgren, playfully highlighting the serious fight against cyber criminals.
At GITEX 2010 Norton will also discuss the Norton Online Family Report which provides insights into the online lives and experiences of 2,800 children and disconnects between parents and children with respect to their online beliefs and behaviors. The first survey of its kind, the findings from the child respondents provide interesting insights and the report offers advice and guidance for parents on how to bridge the gaps on talking openly about what children may encounter online.
At GITEX 2010, Norton from Symantec will be located in Hall 3, Stand C3-1.
