du Opens 800DUNOC Toll-Free Helpline For UAE’s Contractors And Developers

Published Oct 11, 2010

Always keen to lend a hand to businesses in the UAE, du is facilitating the telecom infrastructure design and installation process for consultants, contractors and developers by providing a technical call centre where people can reach a dedicated technical team on a toll-free number. The innovative interactive voice response (IVR) based service, 800dunoc (38662), will provide updates on du telecom infrastructure design standards & guidelines and general information about the No objection Certificate (NOC) process and procedures as well as answering telecom infrastructure-based queries.

“The main aim of this innovative toll free number is to facilitate and speed up the design and installation process for those in the telecom infrastructure construction industry, as well as providing a variety of useful advice and information. du is committed to helping consultants, contractors and developers in the UAE grow and prosper, and we have therefore created this toll-free number where customers can contact a dedicated du technical team, entirely free of charge, to get the information they need pertaining to du telecom infrastructure standards,” commented Tariq Al Bahri, Vice President – Fixed Access Network, du.

The 800 dunoc toll free number allows new customers to follow up on their NOC submissions and provides answers to both fixed and mobile network-based queries, including assistance in their special design enquiries.

The new 800 dunoc toll free number is highly beneficial to new and existing customers as they can process and follow their telecom infrastructure NOC submissions, as well as obtain telecom infrastructure-based information with increased ease and convenience - entirely free of charge – during working days from Sunday to Thursday (8:00 to 13:00).

du’s Building Infrastructure Standards document contains guidelines for the design, installation and commissioning of building infrastructure for supporting telecommunications services in the UAE. The document is to help building developers deliver high quality, future proof facilities that comply with du’s Fibre technology (FTTX) network standards.

To ensure this compliance du requires building developers to go through a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) process, to submit for site inspections and to provide material samples for testing. The guidelines in this document are based on international standards and du’s extensive experience in offering telecommunications services. For information about du’s new 800DUNOC, visit du-noc.ae or contact us at noc.request@du.ae for details about the NOC process.
