Telkom Kenya Launches Residential Broadband

Published Jul 20, 2009
Telkom Kenya has announced the launch of its revamped Orange Internet residential offer, titled Broadband Nyumbani, which is aimed at providing fast, reliable and affordable internet solutions to home users.

“Rapid development of the ICT sector and convergence of telecommunications and broadcasting is creating new products and services, charting new paths for education, entertainment and business, at the same time, more commercial, social and professional opportunities are being created through these unique developments,”commented Jean Michel Chanut, Head of
Marketing and Strategy Telkom Kenya.

Broadband Nyumbani’s ADSL technology utilizes the unused capacity in copper wires by receiving data at a different frequency than that of voice or fax, making it the ultimate choice in data transfer and processing.

Telkom Kenya, which was established as a telecommunications operator under
the Companies Act in April 1999, provides integrated communications solutions in Kenya with the widest range of voice and data services as well as network facilities for residential and business customers.
