HP Middle East appoints new group manager for Inkjet and Webs Solutions Group. Alyssa Sutherland was appointed as the Group Manager of HP’s Inkjet & Web Solutions (IWS) business unit in the Middle East. She is responsible for profit & loss for the IWS business in this region; including sales & marketing of hardware products, supplies and software targeted at consumers and small businesses. She is also responsible for the retail route-to-market for the Imaging & Printing Group (IPG) in the Middle East.
Commenting on her new appointment Alyssa Sutherland said; “I’m really excited to have joined the HP Middle East team. This is such a vibrant and fast moving economy, and I hope my contributions and experience will add to the strong market position enjoyed by HP in the region. We have a very busy product launch schedule coming up, including the launch of the exciting ePrint range of web connected printers. These really are groundbreaking new products which are unleashing the power of internet ‘anywhere’ printing to a huge market.”

Alyssa has a demonstrated ability for innovation and has spearheaded many important initiatives for HP based on listening to specific market needs and market research.”
Prior to transferring to HP Middle East, Alyssa spent four years leading IWS Worldwide Emerging Markets strategy and portfolio. In this capacity, she developed long-term business plans for the IWS business in fast-growing developing economies such as Brazil, Russia, India & China, as well as the Middle East. She championed new product & go-to-market investments in these markets, resulting in the development of several unique product offerings designed specifically for these regions.
Alyssa joined the HP United States in 2001 as future product manager in the world-wide inkjet printing business unit. From 2001 to 2006, she was responsible for managing the product development lifecycle for future printers, leading end-user market research, defining customer requirements, and developing business cases to justify R&D investments. She also managed product launch activities and served as HP spokesperson for key products.
Alyssa is based in HP’s Middle East office in Dubai, U.A.E and is married with two children. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego.
