Prodea Brings Digital Home To Life In MENA

Published Oct 19, 2010

Prodea Systems, a global technology innovator, launched ROS, its award-winning intelligent digital home hub, in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

“The MENA region, with its diverse and ‘digital native’ population, has a demographic unlike any other in the world,” said Anousheh Ansari, CEO and co-founder of Prodea Systems. “Its hunger for connectivity, content and the very latest in advanced consumer technology provides a perfect environment for our intelligent home solution, and this market continues to lead our business growth strategy.”

Prodea’s flagship intelligent digital home hub, ROS, features an innovative, intelligent multi-application platform, designed and engineered by Prodea with significant investment in research and development. Its technology has been validated by service providers and consumers worldwide as the first solution of its kind. It delivers on the promise of the connected digital home for all users, regardless of technical know-how. The combination of Prodea’s white-label platform with managed services support creates a simple-to-use, personalised consumer experience that is accessible anytime, anywhere and through any device such as TV, PC, Mobile, iPad and iPhone.

Users can enjoy a host of multimedia functions, ranging from voice over IP (VoIP) and video conferencing, to video-on-demand, music hosting and popular social networking applications (including Twitter and Facebook), home security, e-health and e-learning services. Applications are presented in a user-friendly icon display that can be accessed from any device with a simple broadband connection. By integrating the solution with an online app store, consumers can continually grow their suite of applications and enhance their digital home experience.

Anousheh Ansari added, “Our innovative and robust product has already sparked interest amongst telecom providers and partners around the world. At GITEX this week we are introducing our multi-application solution in partnership with anayou under the “NXT” brand. Through agreements such as this, we open up a new spectrum of exciting broadband services for service providers and their customers across the region.”
