Etisalat Showcases Connectivity ICT Solutions For Energy And Oil Sector At GASCO IT Exhibition 2010

Etisalat announced its participation in the GASCO IT Exhibition ‘explore 2010’ to showcase industry specific solution for the Energy and Oil sector. GASCO IT Exhibition ‘explore 2010’ is being held in Sheikh Khalifa Energy Complex [SKEC], Abu Dhabi, from the 25th to 28th October.
During GASCO IT exhibition, Etisalat will be showcasing a diverse range of ICT solutions that offer enhanced business connectivity and mobility, specifically designed for the gas, energy and oil sector. Etisalat will also talk about its recently launched and much applauded project, “Emirates Energy Star” that aims to harness the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technology to considerably reduce the energy consumption in the UAE.
The remote office solutions demonstrated by Etisalat in collaboration with Thuraya’s satellite network, will leverage on the higher availability and reliability offered by Satellite communications to offer remote connectivity to Energy and Oil businesses. The service will enable quick and instant remote connectivity enabling easy Voice & Data connectivity even in areas outside of the GSM/ GPRS coverage. The Remote Office solution will offer convenience of connecting in the remote areas, while also offering a back-up connectivity service to the existing GPRS connectivity for customers.
