SAP Launches New Pre-Packaged Wholesale Solution For Middle East And North Africa Region

Published Nov 8, 2010

Following on from the successful launch of the SAP Business All-in-One solution, SAP has announced the Arabic version of pre-packaged software designed for customers in the consumer products and wholesale industries.

For consumer product companies, wholesalers and distributors in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region the software will support companies seeking an integrated industry solution to manage its entire business. Amongst many other processes, the solution covers sourcing and procurement; van sales, multiple manufacturing models and processes; sales and delivery; post-sales support; traceability, and quality management; inbound/outbound logistics and inventory management; and financials and controlling.

“We have over 800 customers in the MENA region and are continuously innovating to bring these companies the tools needed to streamline business processes, support strategic decisions, and stay competitive,” said Sam Alkharrat, managing director, SAP Middle East and North Africa.

“By further enhancing our Arabic-language software solutions we are illustrating our commitment to supporting our customers in the competitive industries of consumer products and wholesale with tools that allow companies to leverage industry best practices and the agility to respond quickly to market changes,” continued Alkharrat.

SAP Best Practices form a fundamental component of SAP solutions based on 35 years of experience with over 100,000 customers globally, collected in a library of SAP packages. Designed with industry experts, tried and tested preconfigured modules cover up to 80 percent of an industry's requirements. SAP Business All in One solutions cover typical business and IT related challenges of midsized companies. The predefined solution can be implemented cost-effectively within a short time, at a fixed price. Following this approach, SAP customers can optimize their business processes, increase the efficiency and take advantage of a solution that rapidly pays for itself.

Using SAP Best practices allows for a reduced implementation time in as rapidly as 12 weeks. SAP Best Practices are also designed to reduce costs with customers able to lower their consulting and customer project resources by an average of 50 percent.

According to SAP, organizations in the region are moving at an incredible speed, and those which aspire to take their business to the next level require the ability to react quickly and embrace change. With 38 years of industry experience and expertise, SAP has demonstrated its role as an advisor to companies of all sizes to deliver customer-focused offerings, sharing global best-practices to quickly address critical business needs, and to enable growth.
