Nexans Launches Overhead Patch Frame And New Cabinet In The Middle East

Published Nov 9, 2010

Nexans, the global expert in cables and cabling solutions, is proud to launch two innovative additions to its LANmark product range: the LANmark Overhead Patching Frame and the LANmark 42U High Density Cabinet in the Middle East region.

The patching frame’s overhead position increases the cabling density possible in data centres and similar facilities. It has been designed to hold both copper and fibre patchpanels and is fitted with brackets to enable vertical installation under, along and over cable trays. The frame is open giving outstanding access, and can be attached to a variety of types of trays. Patchcord management hooks are also available as an accessory.

The cabinet has been specifically designed to host high density, passive cross connects in copper or fibre, whilst taking into account the technical constraints of cooling and space scarcity in data centres and similar facilities. The cabinet’s dual patchcord pathways promote efficient routing of cords, whilst still providing storage space for longer lengths. With its central frame structure the cabinet is easily accessible with front, rear and lateral access, and its openness makes maintenance and upgrades of patches and connections more accessible. The cabinet aids easy identification and management of a large number of fibre or copper cords, improving the reliability and long-term performance of data centres and similar facilities.

“Nexans is pleased to announce the launch of our new LANmark Overhead Patching Frame and LANmark 42U High Density Cabinet for our customers in this region. Our latest patching frame and cabinet have been designed to offer greater flexibility and easy access in data centres. We are confident these new products will be well received in the Middle East region,” concludes Tarek Helmy, Regional Director of Nexans Cabling Solutions Gulf and Middle East.
