Mahindra Satyam Strengthens Focus To Expand Middle East And Africa Operations

Mahindra Satyam, the new brand identity of Satyam Computer Services Ltd., a leading global consulting and IT services provider, revealed that its Dubai office in the UAE will now function as its new strategic Regional Hub - overseeing the integration of both its Middle East and African operations as part of its plan to target more projects and growth opportunities in the two region’s booming IT and business segments. The move also complements Mahindra Satyam’s recent steps to expand into new markets and develop more business partnerships within the two regions. Manojeet Chowdhury who was managing the MENA region, will now operate in a broader role of driving synergies across Middle East and Africa; Bobby Gupta is appointed as Business Head for the Gulf, Levant and North Africa Region; while Chittaranjan Jena is appointed as Business Head for Southern Africa, based out of Johannesburg.
The company has received wide response to its new initiatives and looks to gain a stronger foothold in Business Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Integrated Engineering Services for industries such as aviation, oil and gas, and for specialised sectors like IT for sport events. Mahindra Satyam has been the sole supplier for the IT system of the FIFA World Cup and is looking for more sport-related business in the Middle East.

Bobby Gupta, in his earlier role as the Sales and Business Development Head for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) at Mahindra Satyam, has been instrumental in strengthening the new business development team in the ANZ region and has delivered high performance in a short span of time.
Chittaranjan Jena, in his earlier role as Sales Head for Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait in the Middle East for Mahindra Satyam, has played a key role in driving growth in key industries and solutions segments in the region.
