Al-Rawahy was thrilled to accept the trophy on behalf of everyone in the Nawras family and delighted to bring the trophy back to the Sultanate of Oman.

Following the acceptance of the winner’s trophy, the Nawras team reflected that this award is even more significant as it comes during the 40th Anniversary celebrations at a time when the whole country is united with one joyful voice in thanking His Majesty for the tremendous progress and development in the Sultanate. The telecommunications sector has made huge strides forward and this award shows that our customers are receiving a level of service that comes out with flying colours when benchmarked against our peers on a regional stage.

CommsMEA “Customer Service Provider of the Year” is the only award category to be nominated and voted for by members of the public, demonstrating the incredible customer response Nawras has generated with its pleasingly different service. In total, three members of the Qtel Group picked up major awards at this prestigious industry event in Dubai. In addition to Nawras being honoured, Qtel was named ‘Best New Telecoms Service’, while Wataniya received the ‘CommsMEA Editor's Award for Outstanding Achievement.’

CommsMEA is a prime source of telecom news for the industry in the MENA region and serves to keep communication professionals abreast of all the latest developments in this rapidly changing sector.

This latest recognition for Nawras follows a number of awards received in 2010 including ‘Excellence in Branding and Marketing’, ‘Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award’ and Leader in Telecommunications’.
