Microsoft Jordan Open Door Concludes Successfully Featuring Over 1400 Attendees And 30 Speakers

Microsoft Jordan concluded the largest technical event of the year in bringing together over 1400 local IT professionals and experts at Microsoft Jordan Open Door 2010 to interact, discuss and experience the very latest developments and technologies impacting the ICT industry in Jordan and around the world.
The event included 30 top technology experts from Microsoft Corporation and the region, as well as recognized local industry experts who presented 36 sessions on a wide range of topics that included Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Windows 7 Internet Explorer 9, Exchange 2010, Microsoft Lync 2010 Microsoft Office 2010 for IT Professionals SharePoint 2010, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ERP, as well as Microsoft Dynamics AX.
The primary focus of Microsoft Open Door was Cloud Computing, with a significant number of sessions dedicated to demonstrating the potential and opportunities available for IT professionals and developers to help transform the way businesses and individuals use technology and solve actual business tasks.

Throughout the event, Master of Ceremony Lee McGrath engaged the audience members and attendees during sessions and at the partner pavilion by handing out numerous valuable prizes that were donated by sponsors of Microsoft Open Door, which included Laptops from United Technology Solutions and STS, mobile phones from LG and Nokia, and Microsoft LifeCams and LifeChats from Logicom.
The event exuded an upbeat atmosphere for the participants, providing them with the unique opportunity to experience first hand the very latest Microsoft technologies such as the recently launched Kinect for Xbox 360 and Windows Phone 7.
The much talked about Kinect was a popular attraction during the event, debuting in Amman for the first time at Microsoft Open Door. The Kinect was one of many valuable prizes handed out with the winner being Software Engineer Islam Mari.
Mari said, “I attended the Microsoft Open Door event just like all the other participants, with a passion and keen interest to hear about the latest Microsoft technologies. However, I left the event feeling very special when I won the Kinect for Xbox 360.”
The event also provided Microsoft’s local partners in Jordan with an opportunity to showcase their most advanced innovations and business solutions with the event being sponsored by 22 leading companies in the Kingdom including Nokia as Platinum Sponsor, MentaITech, United Technology Solutions, HCL Technologies, Sermon Business Solutions and Estarta as Gold Sponsors, and LG as the Hardware Sponsor, bringing the ultimate viewing experience to the attendees with the 3D TV.
Participants also enjoyed high interactivity via excellent internet coverage provided by wi-tirbe, which enabled attendants and media representatives to interact and provide feedback on the various sessions that took place.
