Go Telecom Broadcasts Athbah Stud Auction Event Live Via Its Wimax Network

For the first time in the Middle East, GO Telecom achieved a new technical record by broadcasting "Athbah" Auction online for four continues hours from the auction site at Al Janadriyah, located 27 km outside Riyadh. The live broadcast came as part of the company's sponsorship of the auction hosted by Athbah Stud, as the Exclusive Telecom & IT Sponsor, during which GO Telecom provided broadband Internet services through its WiMAX network at a speed up to 100 Mbps. Over 1500 people in 8 different countries such as Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, France, The United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, and the Kingdom of Morocco followed the HD live broadcast via the auction.
The auction live broadcast demonstrated the company's advanced technical capabilities, as GO Telecom provided the necessary bandwidth requirements and an optimum quality service, supported by the company's 4th generation network and a team of the most qualified technical support experts working around the clock who managed the live broadcast with extreme effectiveness and professionalism.
GO Telecom introduced the Digital Calling Service "Terhal" to the audience and followers of the auction, which offers users nomadic numbers starting with 08111, the service was made available for visitors of the auction to make calls over the internet. The auction witnessed a remarkable attendance from across the kingdom compared to similar auctions, as observed by experts. The value of auction sales figures confirm the strength of competition between the bidders for these rare breeds, about 20 head of purebred Arabian horse breeds were up for auction at Athbah Stud Auction in its fourth year.
