Tripp Lite’s State-Of-The-Art UPS System Chosen To Protect Bustard Birds Facility At National Avian Research Center In Sweihan

Tripp Lite, a world leading manufacturer of power protection and connectivity equipment, and its Critical Application Partner (CAP), Commnet, have announced the successful implementation of a new UPS system at the National Avian Research Center in Sweihan. The installation involved the set-up and activation of two UPS systems, the SU10K3/1X, and SU6000RT3UHV, ensuring uninterrupted power supply and data protection for the research center’s breeding building.
The National Avian Research Center was established primarily to promote the conservation of bustard birds. The aim of the center, which also breeds various local bird species, is to revive the tradition of Arab falconry with an underlining focus on sustainable use of resources.

The SU10K3/1X SmartOnline 3-Phase UPS System is a 3-Phase on-line, double-conversion protection system used for mission critical applications. Designed with a 10,000 VA (10kVA) extended run tower, the UPS 3-phase has a hardwire input (220/380, 230/400, 240/415 VAC) and Single-phase hardwire output (user-selectable 220 or 230 or 240V AC). Other key features include Zero transfer time, on-line accessibility, double-conversion operation 3 communication ports and comes with an SNMP card slot and EPO jack. Meanwhile, The SU6000RT3UHV SmartOnline 6KVA is an On-Line Double-Conversion UPS Economy-Mode model. The unit comes pre-equipped with features like Extended-Run & SNMP card options. Designed in a 6U Rack/Tower, the model also offers key features like a Hardwire 6000VA online 3U Power Module + 3U Battery Pack, Zero transfer time, on-line accessibility, double-conversion and economy-mode operation supported by Enhanced serial communications ports. The Smartonline 6KVA model is able to maintain 200, 208, 220, 230 or 240V output +/-2% during brownouts to 156 and over voltages to 276V.
