L-1 Identity Solutions Introduces New Set of High Quality, Low Cost Access Control Products

Published Jan 16, 2011

L-1 Identity Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: ID), a leading supplier of identity solutions and services, announced a new set of high quality, low cost access control products designed to increase efficiency and lower the cost of access control installations. The products include 4G V-Flex Lite™, 4G CR-Pass™ and 4G SecureControl™. The new products and other access control products from L-1 including 3D Face, 4G V-Station Extreme and 4G FingerVein Station will be demonstrated in stand 4-703C at the Intersec Trade Fair and Conference in Dubai, UAE January 16 – 18, 2011.

4G V-Flex Lite™ is an access control device that uses fingerprint recognition or fingerprint and card-based authentication for identification in multi-door enterprise systems or stand-alone door access control deployments. Exceptional performance features include multiple authentication options, template storage capacity of 5,000 in 1:N or 25,000 in 1:1 and a 500 DPI optical sensor. The device is versatile and has a small form factor, making it ideal for mullion or single gang mounting requirements. The 4G CR-Pass™ is a card reader that can be used in environments with biometric and card reader-only devices, all of which can be managed on the same platform for significant time and cost savings. 4G SecureControlTM is a door control module placed on the secure side of the door to provide added security for single door access locations.

When used standalone or together, the new products provide added synergies, helping lower the cost of an access control installation with the ability to manage all door control functions right at the device or with the SecureControl module which minimizes additional wiring. All of the new reader products are IP 65 rated allowing for indoor or outdoor use. The devices are IP enabled and include biometric capabilities and the option to use card-only access for installations that require a mix of biometric and non-biometric devices.

With an average cost that is 30 percent lower than other enterprise access solutions from L-1, these new products also enable a broader set of customers to benefit from the high quality and exceptional performance of L-1 access control solutions. The products come with warranty support and maintenance that is standard with every enterprise access solution.
