Nawras Select Introduces Great Value For International Calls Using Existing Fixed Lines
Published Jan 18, 2011

Nawras Select for residential customers and Nawras Carrier Select for business customers, are the latest convenient new services from Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, designed to make it easy for customers to choose Nawras for competitively priced international calls, without changing their existing fixed line from the other operator.
These new postpaid services are simple to use. By dialling the prefix 02 (instead of 00) before the international dialling code, great value from Nawras can be selected on a call by call basis. Alternatively, with a free auto dialler, the prefix will automatically dial the 02 code to deliver optimum savings on every international call. Business customers also have the option of having the code programmed into their PBX.
For example, to make a call to Dubai, a customer can either choose to dial 02 971 followed by the number to enjoy the rate of just 89 Baiza per minute during off peak hours or, with an auto dialler in place, the high quality Nawras network will be selected every time without the need to enter the code manually.
Residential customers can gain additional savings using this home voice service throughout the exciting promotional launch period by subscribing to ‘My Favourite Countries’, a permanent service giving 10% discount on all calls to two preferred destinations. The usual service subscription fee of 1 Omani Rial for ‘My Favourite Numbers’ will be waived for the first three months, when choosing Nawras Select.
The monthly minimum usage fee for Nawras Select will be 1 Omani Rial per month after 15 April however throughout the introductory offer period, customers will only pay for the calls they make.
The advantages of Nawras Select can be enjoyed by all customers who currently have an existing postpaid landline with access to international calls, from Oman’s other operator. There is no need to change the telephone number as at the end of the monthly bill cycle, customers will receive a separate bill from both operators.
Free registration for Nawras Select can be quickly completed at any Nawras Store by home broadband and voice customers, while business customers can sign up for Nawras Carrier Select (the same service) by talking to their account manager or calling 9501 1503.
Nawras, a Qtel Group company, started offering pleasingly different fixed line services in 2010 as this customer friendly operator became a full service provider and a one stop shop for business and residential customers in Oman meeting mobile, fixed and internet needs for the home and office.
