Qtel Data Centre Ready To Support Wave Of Business Expansion In 2011

Published Jan 20, 2011

With strong economic growth anticipated in 2011, driven by infrastructure investment and an increase in business development, the Qtel Data Centre has fully finalised its expansion process for the New Year.

The major upgrade and expansion process for the Qtel Data Centre, which began at the start of 2010, has now been completed to provide 300 percent increased capacity. A number of Qatar’s leading enterprises, including leaders in the aviation, industry, financial and real estate sectors, have already requested additional capacity to support their projected business growth in the coming months.

Qtel’s pioneering upgrade to the Qtel Data Centre, which was the first in Qatar and which has become the most trusted, enables the facility to support a range of cutting edge data solutions and services, and offers capacity on demand to businesses across Qatar.

With the upgrade process complete, the Qtel Data Centre now delivers comprehensive support for the full range of business IT infrastructure needs, from the transmission process to application provision, including advanced monitoring, backup and storage solutions, disaster recovery, business continuity and resiliency planning.

Qtel Data Centre provides a controlled environment that optimises the deployment of fundamental components such as power, cooling, and networking systems. Clients have the flexibility to focus on their core business functions, while Qtel Data Centre will provide end to end services as required.

Since its launch, Qtel Data Centre has become one of the first global data centres in the region to provide local and regional customers with a full range of Enterprise Hosting, Managed and Professional Services. Qtel Data Centre’s fully redundant facility has been designed and deployed in compliance with world class carrier standards and best industry standards.
