BenQ Introduces World's Best Gaming Monitor To The Middle East

Published Jan 27, 2011

BenQ, leading digital lifestyle provider and winner of the 2010 Red Dot Award, has introduced its new 23.6” LED Gaming Monitor, XL2410T, to the region, which is set to transform the gaming experience in the Middle East.

To develop a world class product that meets the needs of professional gamers, BenQ partnered with ZOWIE, a professional gaming mouse and mouse pad company.

ZOWIE’s gamer teams were invited to participate during the product development and testing stages. Further setting BenQ’s XL2410T apart from the rest, is the monitors’ Shooting Game mode, which was co developed by two legendary Counter Strike players Emil “HeatoN” Christensen and Abdisamad “SpawN” Mohamed.

Manish Bakshi, General Manager of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa, said: “As the world’s leading provider of LED monitors, BenQ’s focus on innovation and research has enabled us to develop the new XL2410T which will usher in a new era for gamers the world over. By partnering with industry leaders like ZOWIE and Counter Strike legends ‘HeatoN’ and ‘SpawN’ BenQ has firmly taken the lead in the gaming market, delivering an unparalleled visual and sensory experience.

The BenQ XL2410T is a gamer's tour de force, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, 23.6"W LED panel and backlighting, 3D ready and 2ms response time. In addition, the monitor is equipped with an extensive range of gaming modes, the capacity to display video from two sources at the same time and the ability to be adjusted to just about any angle.

With a screen image that’s re drawn 120 times every second, there is never a lag between the virtual world and what gamers actually see on screen. Drawing on hyper speed video processing technology, the XL2410T gives on screen action a captivating realism.

The display mode hotkey makes changing the size of the screen content as simple as the press of a button. Gamers can instantly switch between 17”, 19”, 19” widescreen, and 22” widescreen formats to get the best possible view. With the Smart Scaling button, gamers can adjust the size of the screen content until their avatar’s actions precisely correspond to theirs.

BenQ’s team worked with ‘HeatoN’ and ‘SpawN’ to develop a display mode for shooting game enthusiasts. The aim was to create a display mode that provides gamers with a totally accurate representation of each scene in a virtual world.

A super short response time means both fast moving action and dramatic transitions are rendered accurately, when a millisecond can make the difference between a successful sneak attack and a strike that ends in failure.

Already certified as NVIDIA(R) 3D Vision™ ready, the XL2410T is able to handle the most action packed, graphic intensive 3D games or movies without missing a beat, enabling gamers to experience their virtual worlds with total realism.

The Picture by Picture (PBP) display mode, provides side by side display of video from two independent video sources. Gamers can tailor the height, tilt, pivot, stroke and swivel adjustment of each monitor to perfectly fit each individual user.

BenQ’s XL2410T is priced at AED 1799 and will be available at all major retail outlets across the Middle East.
