AJ – HPX3100:
The AJ-HPX3100, is a compact shoulder mounted HD camcorder featuring P2 solid state memory
card recording. The AJ-HPX3100 offers high image quality and performance for high-end video production, incorporating a 2.2 megapixel, 2/3, type CCD image sensor (3CCD) and the latest AVC-Intra Codec for broadcasting (compatible with MPEG-4 AVC/H.264).
The camcorder supports multi format HD capability as well as SD, DVCPRO50, DVCPRO and DV recording. The AVC-Intra 100 codec records high quality images using 10 bit/4:2:2 sampling and also supports high quality 24 bit audio recording whilst in AVC-Intra mode. The camera also offers a Chromatic Aberration Compensation (CAC) function to compensate variations in the lens and Dynamic Range Stretch (DRS) which suppresses blocked shadows and blown highlights.
The AJ-HPX3100 offers a number of improvements over its predecessor; a newly designed compact and lightweight body provides a low centre of gravity ensuring an unobstructed view for the camera operator. It is 3.9kg (8.6 lb) lighter than the previous model, offering the camera person enhanced mobility. The camera also consumes around 23% less power than conventional 2/3 3CCD camcorders.
The camcorder has two easily accessible slots for reusable P2 solid state memory cards which offer up to 64 GB capacity and a high data transfer speed. The new camera also includes a range of functionality to improve workflow including wireless metadata input capability and a new video encoder board capable of proxy recording supporting Apple’s Final Cut Pro editing system.
AG-3DA1:
The AG-3DA1, the world’s first professional quality, fully integrated Full HD 3D camcorder offering SD media card recording. At less than 6.6 pounds, the AG-3DA1 is equipped with dual lenses and two full 1920 x 1080 2.07 megapixel 3-MOS imagers to record 1080/60i, 50i, 30p, 25p and 24p (native) and 720/60p and 50p in AVCHD. It can record for up to 180 minutes on dual 32GB SD cards in Panasonic’s professional AVCHD PH mode, and offers professional interfaces including dual HD-SDI out, HDMI (version 1.4), two XLR connectors, built-in stereo microphone and twin lens camera remotes.
This Full HD 3D camcorder will offer the following core benefits , Easier to Use Current 3D systems are large-scale setups in which two cameras are fitted to a rig in parallel, or vertically intersect across a half-mirror. Separate recorders are also required. In the AG-3DA1, the lenses, camera head, and a dual Memory Card recorder are integrated into a single, lightweight body. The camcorder also incorporates stereoscopic adjustment controls making it easier to use and operate.
The twin lens system adopted in the camcorder’s optical section allows the convergence point to be adjusted. Functions for automatically correcting horizontal and vertical displacement are also provided. Conventional 3D camera systems require these adjustments to be made by means of a PC or an external video processor. This new camcorder, however, will automatically recalibrate without any need for external equipment, allowing immediate 3D image capture.
More Flexible:
The solid state memory file based recording system offers greater flexibility to produce Full HD 3D videos reliably in more challenging shooting environments. The AG-3DA1 is lighter weight and smaller than current 3D rigs, while providing the flexibility of handheld style shooting. Setup and transportation is simplified, making it ideal for sports, documentary and filmmaking projects.
More Affordable:
Using a standardized, fully integrated design, the AG-3DA1 is being offered at a much lower price than traditional 3D rigs. Transportation expenses for this handheld unit will be less and faster setup times reduce labor costs. Using standard, re recordable SDHC/SD Memory Cards available already everywhere, media costs become almost insignificant.
AG-AF100:
The AG-AF100 AVCCAM HD camcorder is the first professional micro 4/3-inch video camcorder optimized for high-definition video recording. The AF100 delivers the shallow depth of field and wider field of view of a large imager, with the flexibility and cost advantages of use with a growing line of professional quality, industry standard micro 4/3-inch lenses, filters, and adapters. The full 1080 and 720 production camera offers superior video handling, native 1080/24p recording, variable frame rates, professional audio capabilities, and compatibility with SDHC and SDXC media.
The design of the AF100’s micro 4/3-inch sensor affords depth of field and field of view similar to that of 35mm movie cameras in a less expensive camera body. Equipped with an interchangeable lens mount, the AF100 can utilize an array of low cost, widely available still camera lenses as well as film style lenses with fixed focal lengths and primes.
The AF100 incorporates a 4/3-inch, 16:9 MOS imager. The camcorder records 1080/60i, 50i, 30p, 25p and 24p (native) and 720/60p, 50p, 30p, 25p and 24p (native) in AVCHD’s highest quality PH mode (maximum 24Mbps). Ready for global production standards, the camcorder is 60Hz and 50Hz switchable.
The AF100 maximizes the potential of its high resolution imager with built in ND filtering and dramatically reduced video aliasing. Standard professional interfaces include HD-SDI out, HDMI, time code recording, built in stereo microphone and USB 2.0. The AF100 features two XLR inputs with +48V Phantom Power capability, 48-kHz/16-bit two channel digital audio recording and supports LPCM/Dolby AC3.
This newest Panasonic AVCCAM camcorder is the first to enjoy the benefits of advanced SDXC media card compatibility in addition to existing SDHC card support.
SDXC is the newest SD memory card specification that supports memory capacities above 32GB up to 2TB. With two SD slots, the AF100 can record up to 12 hours on two 64GB SDXC cards in PH mode.
