Injazat Data Systems And KBR Agree To Jointly Pursue Growing Defense Related Training Opportunities In The Middle East

Published Feb 23, 2011

Injazat Data Systems, a leading Information Technology and business process managed services provider in the region, is working with KBR, a leading global services company, to jointly pursue training outsourcing opportunities in the Middle East.

The companies’ training solutions, being showcased at IDEX 2011, offer clients cost-efficient and bespoke desktop solutions to meet their specific requirements. These cutting-edge training solutions add a real-time dimension to the training experience. A key advantage of these solutions is the ability to train early without the need for access to actual system hardware, such as complex aviation platforms, maritime combat systems or vehicle-based weapon systems. Operators and maintenance personnel can train in an individual or collective environment with the full support of comprehensive learning tools, assessment tracking and performance reporting.

“The Middle East is emerging as an international outsourcing hub. The arrangement with KBR allows us to combine our extensive outsourcing experience and expertise with KBR’s global reputation and reach, so that we can more effectively meet the unique needs of the region’s diverse and demanding training requirements”, said Ibrahim Mohammed Lari, Managing Director, Injazat Data Systems.

Andrew Pringle, President of KBR’s International Government and Defence business unit, said: “KBR Training Solutions, with Injazat Data Systems, is able to offer Middle East customers integrated, cutting-edge training equipment, programs and services across a wide spectrum of applications. New technologies allow innovative approaches which can deliver highly effective operations and maintenance training. Our arrangement with Injazat Data Systems allows us to offer local solutions tailored to the needs of the diverse and demanding Middle East customer base.”

At IDEX 2011, Injazat and KBR will be holding practical demonstrations of interactive training systems at the Injazat Data Systems booth at the Mubadala stand, which is located in the Exhibition’s Atrium.

Injazat Data Systems and KBR share a comprehensive understanding of government and military requirements, having worked for global defense and government clients to provide best practice solutions.

Injazat is a subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala) and operates a 2,000-sqm Tier IV data centre, the first facility of its kind in the region. This arrangement aligns to Mubadala’s strategy of working with local and international businesses in order to help build a sustainable and commercially viable support system for the UAE Armed Forces and regional militaries.
