SAP User Group Executive Network (SUGEN) Announces New Leadership Team

Published Mar 23, 2011

SAP User Group Executive Network (SUGEN) recently announced that the new leadership team, chaired by Tonnie van der Horst (VNSG), has been elected until the close of 2012.

SUGEN is a global network of thirteen independent SAP user associations, including SUG-MENA (Middle-East, North Africa), who cooperate mutually to create a single ‘voice of the customer’ and provide SAP with a sparring partner with regard to strategic subjects that are important to SAP customers.

The newly elected SUGEN leadership team has committed for a two-year period (2011 – 2012).

“With twice the time we can provide more long-term continuity within the team and improve our members’ abilities to achieve their mission; to influence the product strategy, development and services of SAP. In addition, we can drive SUGEN to allow growth in membership,” said Van der Horst

For the next two years, the SUGEN leadership team will consist of:

Tonnie van der Horst – VNSG (the Netherlands)
Otto Schell – DSAG (Germany)
Per Högberg – SAPSA (Sweden)
William Khalil – SUG-MENA (Middle East/North Africa)

“The new SUGEN leadership team is committed to continue its mission focusing on influencing SAP’s product development and strategies. Changing the leadership duration to two terms, and being a member of the core leadership team, results in strong representation for the MENA region enabling increased attention and support. With more user groups joining SUGEN, the association will grow stronger and the MENA region will continue to play an active role globally. SUGEN, SAP MENA, and SUG-MENA will continue their partnership with accelerated involvement and strategic planning for the benefit of regional companies,” said William Khalil, SUG-MENA SAP Liaison, Director - SAP Users Group Executive Network (SUGEN), Core Leadership Team.

“I wish the newly elected leadership team good luck the coming two years and I am confident that SUGEN together with SAP can have a strategic impact and drive both customers and SAP towards innovation and success,” said Greg Pike, SVP, Global Customer Communities, SAP AG.

NOTE: SUG-MENA will hold its annual conference, SUG-MENA 2011, during May 30, 31 & June 1, 2011, at the Address Dubai Marina, in Dubai, UAE. Visit SUG-MENA website to find out more and register http://sugmena.com/regist.aspx
