Zain Set For $100m Iraq Investment

Emad Makiya, CEO of the Iraqi unit of Kuwait-based mobile operator, has said its Iraqi unit plans to spend $100m as part of its plan to expand through the entire Kurdish region over the next five months. Zain Iraq also submitted legal documents to appeal against a $262m fine by the Iraqi government for breaching its license by putting 5 million SIM cards in the local market without permission, Makiya said.
