Early Bird Registration For 4th Annual North Africa Com, Conference And Exhibition In Cairo Now Open

Published Aug 3, 2009
Participants registering early for the 4th annual North Africa Com conference and exhibition on 27th and 28th of October, 2009, in Cairo, Egypt will receive substantial discounts on their admission to the region’s largest telecom event of the year, according to organizers, Informa Telecoms & Media.

The leading provider of business intelligence and strategic marketing solutions to global telecoms and media markets, Informa Telecoms & Media is also offering free admission to eligible telecom operators.

“We are expecting our largest attendance yet for North Africa Com, which just goes to show how important this conference is to both regional and international telecom companies across the board,” says Veronika Pete, Informa Telecoms & Media’s Marketing Executive of the Com World Series.
“Registering early guarantees savings and your place at what will no doubt be the biggest event of its kind in the region”.

The conference features a number of keynote speakers from the region that will share their companies’ strategies to sustain growth in North Africa and present innovative technologies to improving operators’ efficiency.

The region is particularly relevant today because it has weathered the effects of the global economic downturn better than markets like Russia or South East Asia.

“Though only time will tell what consequences there may be for North African operators, the telecoms industry has a proven track record of resilience so there’s no reason operators should not fare better than other industries here,” adds Pete.
“The CEOs of the region’s leading operators are supporting this event, which shows the importance of this type of meetings at a time when the market is changing rapidly,” says Emily Cottam, Senior Researcher for Informa Telecoms & Media.
“We are particularly pleased with the presence of the heads of all the operators in Egypt and Algeria, as they are among the most dynamic markets in Africa and the Middle East”.

Delegates can register online, via email or by phone. To register or see if your company qualifies for free admission, please visit http://nafrica.comworldseries.com/register or

The conference, with the theme “Strengthening Operators’ Positions in North Africa with New Technologies & Services”, is set to welcome over 800 senior level representatives from mobile and fixed line operators, Internet Service Providers and regulators to investors, telecoms solutions vendors and content providers. The two day event will be held at the JW Marriott hotel in New Cairo.

North Africa Com offers companies market insight, practical solutions and best practice benchmarks to grow businesses and partnerships in countries, such as Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan and Tunisia.

The agenda comprises a mixture of presentations, case studies, interactive panel sessions and Q&A sessions and is complimented by an exhibition showcasing more than 40 stands by leading international vendors and their newest solutions and technologies.

The event is part of Informa Telecoms & Media's Com World Series, the longest running annual series of telecommunication conferences and exhibitions focussing on emerging, high growth markets, providing a meeting point for mobile, fixed and integrated telecoms service providers and their suppliers.

It is sponsored by the world’s leading telecommunication providers, such as VNL, Nokia Siemens Networks, SmartTrust, Celcite and Huawei.
