INJAZ-In-A-Day Lets Public School Students Complete An Entire Entrepreneurship Course In One Day

Published Mar 29, 2011

In response to the changes in the school semester, INJAZ Egypt is launching a new format that allows public school students to complete an entire INJAZ course on entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy in one day.

Together with volunteer mentors from private companies, INJAZ Egypt aims to impact over 12,000 students this semester and a total of 58,000 students this school year.

The curriculum of this one-day course consists of the following:

It's My Business: Emphasizes entrepreneurship and provides a strong focus on social studies, reading, and writing skills. Students use critical thinking to learn entrepreneurial skills that support positive attitudes as they explore and enhance their career aspirations.

Innovation Camps (iCamp): A key driver of job creation and economic growth is small-business development, which is fueled by innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit. During iCamp, students collaborate to address a specific business challenge. Students work with business volunteers with expertise in product development, finance, marketing, and presentation techniques.

More Than Money: Teaches students about earning, spending, sharing, and saving money, and innovative businesses they can start or jobs they can perform to earn money. Through hands-on activities, students develop a better understanding of the relationship between what they learn at school and their successful participation in a worldwide economy.

Our Environment: Introduces the notion that resources are limited and should be shared responsibly and creates a link between daily life, resources and waste, pollution and how it results in health hazards, and reuse and recycling for more sustainable living.

“INJAZ-In-A-Day is designed to reach the maximum number of students this school year, and offer them the basic knowledge that would empower them to build their future,” said Dina El Mofty, INJAZ Egypt Executive Director.
