du And Zayed University Collaborate On High-Tech Multi-Media Laboratory In The UAE

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to support education through practical, vocational oriented learning for students in the United Arab Emirates, du today announced its support of Zayed University to digitise and enhance technical support for a Multi-media laboratory at the College of Communication and Media Sciences. As a part of the collaboration, du will equip the facilities with state-of the art technical infrastructure and required software for the benefit of the University students and faculty. This collaboration was formalised at a signing ceremony between Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Osman Sultan, CEO, du, in the presence of Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Vice President, and Dr. Marilyn Roberts, Dean of the College of Communication and Media Sciences, and other senior dignitaries.

It is with great pleasure that we support Zayed University's efforts to educate students in the field of mass media and communications to raise the bar of Media Sciences. We truly hope students will benefit from the best state-of-the-art multi-media technology that is being made available to them,” commented Osman Sultan, Chief Executive Officer, du.

“We are grateful to be associated with a like-minded partner such as du, who recognizes the importance of educating and nurturing tomorrow’s leaders in both the private and public sectors. With du as a corporate partner we believe we can enhance the educational experience for students prepared to enter the work environment with competence, knowledge, and leadership skills," said Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim.
