du Hosts Middle East Spectrum Dinner

As part of its participation in the Middle East Spectrum, held by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and represented by Spectrum International Affairs, du hosted a dinner at the Palace Hotel, Old Town Dubai. The dinner was attended by ITU Secretary General, Dr. Hamadoun Toure, Mr.Tariq Al Awadhi, Executive Director International Affairs and Spectrum, Mr. Eissa Bastaki, UAE ICT Fund Chairman, in addition to international spectrum management experts, government officials as well as representatives from the regulators, telecom operators and private entities from the UAE and other regional countries. From du, the attendees were Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Human Resources and Shared Services Officer, and Ahmad Aburahima, Vice President Government Relations.
The Middle East Spectrum conference tackled new approaches on spectrum enforcement, challenges of GSM reframing and finding the spectrum for 4G networks, in addition to other related topics such as reaping the digital divided and the status of the public sector spectrum in the 21st century.
