Aastra Opens Training Centers In The Middle East

Published Apr 6, 2011

Aastra, a leader in Enterprise Communication Technology is now offering training for its channel partners and end customers in its locations in the Middle East.

As part of its regional channel expansion strategy in the Middle East and North Africa, Aastra is responding to the need for having local technical support centers and local training centers in the region.

Ahmet Altinova, Head of Technical Support & Training at Aastra in the Middle East says “We are happy to be able to offer technical as well as sales trainings in Dubai and Istanbul. Not only business partners, but also 2nd tier resellers can now be certified by Aastra, and for that we are offering them an easy way to get the needed knowledge, without having to travel far away. Our training schedule can be found on our web page.”

Aastra’s enterprise communication solutions include IP Telephony, Unified Communications, Contact Centers and Video Conferencing. Mr. Altinova continues: “All these systems and solutions are available in our training centers for hands-on technical trainings and practical sales and pre-sales workshops.”

Aastra, which acquired Ericsson’s global Enterprise business back in 2008, has taken over all Ericsson Enterprise products and channel partner program and has developed them further. “Aastra was at the forefront of the adoption of Open Standards. In a second phase we intend to offer generic training programs around open standards unified communications for students and end-users, with the possibility of individual certifications”, concludes Mr. Altinova.
