Laptop And TV Categories Continue To Show Growth At Jacky’s Electronics

The laptop and TV categories continue to enjoy steady growth in the past months at Jacky’s Electronics, the UAE’s leading multi-brand consumer electronics retailer, with the laptops and televisions dominating its total sales during the first quarter of 2011.
Events like the Dubai Shopping Festival and the recently concluded Cricket World Cup helped boost sales of these products. Aiming to further strengthen the sales of these categories, Jacky’s Electronics launched its ‘Pre-Summer promotion’ until 30th April.
Customers buying any notebooks and netbooks from HP will have a chance to win of up to AED500 in cash vouchers while a brand new netbook is up for grabs every day and guaranteed cash vouchers of up to AED500 for every purchase of any Intel-Powered notebooks and netbooks. Meanwhile, AED500 cash vouchers can be won via scratch & win for any TV products bought at any Jacky’s outlets.
“Last year, following the launch of LED TVs in the region, the company has experienced a strong response in this category, which constituted 10% to the total TV sales. We have seen larger screen sizes ranging from 40-inch plus segment as among the bestsellers in our outlets,” said Ashish Panjabi, COO, Jacky’s Electronics.
“Laptops are still popular among our customers which have also grown for us in the last year. We are optimistic that by rolling out this pre-summer promotion and the launch of the Intel Sandy Bridge processors, these categories will continue to grow this year,” he added.
With this promotion, customers will receive cash back for every purchase of the latest notebooks or TV. In addition, the company also has promotions for the mobile phone category and domestic home appliances this week. Gift vouchers of up to AED150 will be given for every purchase of Nokia mobile worth AED499 – AED1500 during this period.
