BenQ, an internationally-renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations, highlighted the importance of the Middle East market to the brand’s global growth, at their recent European Distributors Conference held at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. The conference marked the first time a European Distributors meeting was held outside of Europe- signaling the UAE’s strategic importance to the BenQ brand.
BenQ’s European Distributors meeting provides an opportunity for BenQ’s senior management to showcase new products and innovations and to look at the strategy shaping the business. Distributors from Central Europe, Scandinavia, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom, converged in Dubai for the three-day conference.
Manish Bakshi, General Manager of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa, said: “We have identified the Middle East market as a high-growth region for BenQ. We are already leading the region’s education segment as the top projector brand in the Asia Pacific* education market, with a 17.7% market share and we are striving to continue this success. We have made great progress in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where BenQ is now the number two projector brand in the Kingdom with a market share of 13.73%.”
“As the Middle East is a vitally important market for BenQ’s growth strategy, Dubai was an ideal location for our recent Distributors conference. Dubai is a key global hub for distribution, due to its strategic location to Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia and its’ world- class infrastructure,” Bakshi concluded.
BenQ has launched multiple featured-packed educational projectors in the Middle East, including the MP780 ST projector which is equipped with the BenQ PointDraw™ Technology. Students are able to actively participate in the classroom using an interactive pen that allows them to point and draw on any projected surface with no need for a whiteboard and no need for calibration.
Various activities were prepared for the European distributors such as sightseeing tours at the Atlantis hotel, underwater experience at Dubai Aquarium, visit to Burj Khalifa, dune bashing in the desert and Bedouin barbecue under the stars, camel polo at the Polo Club as well as a seaplane tour across Dubai’s coastal line.
The BenQ Group and its companies operate in over 30 countries globally, with a workforce of over 120,000.
