Canon’s Fastest Workgroup Scanner Gets Speed And Software Enhancements To Boost Productivity

Canon Middle East announced the launch of its updated imageFORMULA DR-3010C scanner, operating more than 30% faster than its previous scanning speed. It also comes with additional software enhancements, providing customers with more value and performance without any corresponding increase in cost.
The compact, robust DR-3010C is now capable of scanning at rapid scanning speeds of 40ppm in black and white, compared to 30ppm on the previous version. The same speed and performance level is maintained even when scanning at 300dpi resolution, often a requirement for accurate OCR scanning.
Canon’s DR-3010C is positioned as Canon’s flagship workgroup scanner offering high speed reliable performance while keeping its user friendly and compact design. The DR-3010C is perfect for handling both mission critical paper-intensive scanning as well as simple ad-hoc tasks; these applications can be commonly found in busy office departments as well as remote branch offices in industries such as finance, insurance, transportation, legal, government departments, and healthcare.
The new version DR-3010C includes Canon’s user friendly CaptureOnTouch software, designed specifically to simplify the scanning process for users, and incorporates useful file sending and distribution options.
Patch code separation is now also possible with new driver software allowing users to save time with ‘on-the-fly’ batch separation of documents. Other new features on the DR-3010C include the ability to scan documents up to 3 metres in length (such as cash receipts or medical charts). The new multistream support also provides simultaneous output of both colour and black and white images.

The DR-3010C has a suggested daily duty cycle of 3,000 scans a day and over 50% more energy efficient versus similar competitive scanner products available in the market. The recently launched Optional Flatbed 101 Scanner Unit can also be connected via USB to the DR-3010C in order to scan books or bound materials.
