Flagship Projects, a leading Dubai-based hi-tech mobile and web applications provider, is participating in the Gulf Educational Supplies Show (GESS) at Airport Expo Dubai by displaying three major educational mobile applications: Rufoof, Hesabi and Huroofi.
Shadi Hasan, Managing Director, Flagship Projects, said: “Mobile phone applications represent a tremendous market opportunity for the education sector in the Gulf. Flagship has built strategic partnerships with leading education services providers in the Gulf, including prominent universities. We strongly believe that mobile applications will play a pivotal role in raising the bar of the education sector in the Gulf.”
'Huroofi - My letters', is a revolutionary iPhone App that helps children recognize basics of Arabic language in a user friendly environment. This world-class mobile is one of the best Arabic educational applications developed for iPhone, iPod and iPad, and designed to teach children from the 4-9 age group the principles of language in ways that are easy, simple and fun, incorporating elements of drawing, interactive speech and latest edutainment techniques.
“Huroofi was developed with the help of a specialist team. Moreover, this application is just one step in Flagship’s edutainment futuristic plan,” Hasan added.
‘‘Hesabi - My Math’, an award winning mobile application, was developed by Flagship Projects in 2010. It incorporates latest global standards and adds value to the application of IT to day to day life.
Hasan added: “Hesabi is designed to help children recognize numbers and the four basic Mathematical functions which are very important to improve children's abilities. It also helps them to differentiate between right and wrong ways of numeric calculations in an extremely user friendly environment.”
The application is cost effective and comes with many additional services like free content updating and free support team.
GESS, which is being held until Thursday (5th May, 2011) with the support of the UAE Ministry of Education, brings the latest international education products and technologies to local and regional education professionals.
Hasan added: “We are displaying at the show Rufoof which is one of the prominent Arabic apps on the app store. Steps to live a quality reading experience with Rufoof are very easy because technology is becoming easier and user friendly to everyone.”
Users of Rufoof can go to the application and then view a wide range of book titles in different categories so that they download a sample to have the content available even when the device is offline.
Another feature of the application is reading through bookmark pages, search and change the font size as well as changing the colour of the shelves. This represents a big advancement in the world of reading from an iPhone, Ipad or other smart phone devices.”
One of the dynamic interactive features of Rufoof is the simplicity in using content. Moreover, books are carefully picked, monitored and controlled by Flagship. With Rufoof, authors' and publishers' books are more piracy protected, compared to many online libraries due to the high security features deployed by Flagship team of software developers.
Hasan concluded: “Flagship is one of the earliest providers of solutions for this rapidly expanding smart phone market. We provide high-end smart phone platforms and develop applications for organisations seeking to execute products on mobile devices. Our applications target iPhone, Android, RIM, Windows Mobile 7and other devices available in the market. We are committed to raising the bar of the education sector by deploying the newest technologies in order to bridge the gap between Arab education sector and western counterpart.”
