Published May 8, 2011

Bayt.com, The Middle East’s number one jobsite announced the launch of its completely revamped intelligent and intuitive platform My Workspace®, enabling professional to take advantage of today’s analytical and social networking features to support them in their job search.

Created on Bayt.com’s propriety technological knowhow using the firm’s R&D backbone and marketing expertise, the new platform is modelled on search-style analytics and social network behaviour rendering both passive and active jobseekers an opportunity to further enhance their job search footprint across the digital world.

Speaking on the occasion, Rabea Ataya, CEO,, Bayt.com said: “Bayt.com has been known for its pioneering pursuits and today’s announcement is no different. We have probably redefined and changed the landscape of online job recruitment. By effectively and efficiently utilizing the digital information highway we have in effect brought over 40,000 registered Bayt.com employers in even closer proximity to our existing base of over 5.5million registered jobseekers; arithmetically increasing the propensity for jobseekers to find a job within a shorter span of time and potentially reach out to a wider audience of prospecting employers. The new platform will create an “opportunity led” common meeting point for both employees and employers. With daily web traffic of over 115,000 unique visitors we are confident that with the new My Workspace, this average will only increase."

My Workspace is now packed with new intuitive and enhanced features such as the “Job in your Facebook Network”, a first of its kind proposition that integrates the job posting inside Bayt.com ‘s database to a jobseeker’s Facebook connections, and then presents back to the jobseeker a list of job openings based on possible referrals.

Other features created for the benefit of professionals include an analytical illustration of their CV effectiveness which segments employers’ visits to a profile based on country and industry and a CV clinic which is an intelligent, intuitive tool that provides automated tips and advice for CV enhancement. Additional features include a cloud representation of the most trending search keywords used by employers and much more.

“The use of social media in the job search will complement the advanced features used in Bayt.com’s My Workspace, allowing registrants to refine and tune their online CVs and use analysis and insight to collect information on the quality, quantity and type of employers interested in their resumes,” explained Ataya, Bayt.com.
