SAP MENA Appoints Mazen Jabri As Head Of Ecosystem And Channels

Published May 10, 2011

Leading business software provider, SAP, has announced the appointment of Mazen Jabri as Head of Ecosystem and Channels for SAP Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The appointment illustrates SAP’s increased focus on driving Channel Partner relationships as well as investment in developing partner capabilities across SAP’s industries and product portfolio, specifically analytics, mobility and in-memory computing.

SAP MENA has further built its Inside Sales Team, based out of Egypt, who will be primarily responsible for developing a robust opportunities pipeline, customer profiling and lead generation qualification.

Jabri said: “Developing, expanding and enabling our Channels and Partner ecosystem is critical to SAP’s strategy in MENA. We have set the goal of doubling our indirect business in MENA this year and to do this we will be significantly increasing our partner capacity and growing their capabilities, driving expertise in countries, segments, industries and solutions, as well as rolling out enablement programs and demand generation activities.”

Jabri continued: “I am very excited to take on this role and look forward to start engaging better with our partners to bring more innovations and best practices to our customers in MENA.”

Prior to joining SAP, Mazen held the position of Managing Director for Global Knowledge, one of the largest providers of professional Business and IT Learning Solutions worldwide, across Emerging Markets. Previously, Mazen was the General Manager for Cisco in the UAE (2006 – 2009), with the responsibility for driving the company’s business in one of its fastest growing markets.

Mazen started his career at Gulf Stars in Saudi Arabia, where he worked for nearly 10 years, before moving to Abdullatif Jameel as a Business Development Manager and holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the American University of Beirut and a Master’s of Science in Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin.
