Citrix Systems Expands Middle East Leadership Team

Published May 10, 2011

Citrix Systems, Inc., a leading provider of virtual computing solutions that help people work and play from anywhere on any device, today announced the appointment of Clinton O’Leary as Senior Partner Account Manager and Christine Carey as Enterprise Sales Manager, UAE Private Sector.

O’Leary joins Citrix from Intralinks to focus on strengthening the company’s reseller relationship and channel enablement strategies in support of the company’s plans for growth across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. In his previous roles O’Leary has worked in the Middle East with Microsoft and Emirates Computers, and in South Africa with reputed organizations such as Dell and Dimension Data.

Carey leaves her role as Regional Manager for Middle East at Wyse Technology to join the Citrix team based in Dubai, applying her extensive background of more than 20 years in IT sales to support businesses in the UAE that are evaluating and implementing virtualization strategies. Carey has international experience and an impressive track record of channel development and sales success.

Commenting on the appointments, Aaron White, Regional Director, Citrix Systems MEA said: “Virtualization is moving from hype to reality across many sectors in the Middle East, with Citrix as a trusted partner to ensure the right strategy and solution is in place for each business. In turn, we need the best expert team in place and the addition of these two senior appointments further enhances our credentials on this score. We are moving ahead confidently on our regional growth plans, and are very pleased to welcome Clinton and Christine onboard.”

The growth of Citrix’s regional executive team will further enable the company to realise ambitious expansion plans announced at the beginning of the year. The Saudi Arabian office opened in Riyadh in January, with offices in Doha and Muscat to follow throughout 2011. This strategy builds on a track record of success that has seen Citrix enable more 4,100 organisations in the Middle East and Africa to adopt Cloud and Virtualization strategies across the oil and gas, financial services, healthcare, telecommunications and public sectors.
