CommScope Experts To Share Insights At Middle East Events

Published May 11, 2011

CommScope’s insights on the future of the wireless market, opportunities presented by new technologies, and the benefits of in-building wireless systems will be shared at three Middle East events in May.

Dr. Oliver Braz, head of system engineering and product line manager for future technologies, CommScope, will lead a half-day seminar May 10 at the Prince Sultan Advanced Technologies Research Institute (PSATRI) of the King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His talk, “4G Enabling Technologies (LTE/WiMAX, MIMO and OFDM) and Cognitive Radio,” will explore new developments in LTE and other technologies and what the future may bring in terms of broadband radio technology. The event, open to King Saud telecom graduate students, faculty members and Saudi Telecommunication Society members, is sponsored by PSATRI, Advanced Communications & Electronics Systems co., Ltd. and the Saudi Telecommunication Society.

Vick Khalil Mamlouk, vice president of wireless sales, Middle East and Africa, CommScope will be a featured speaker May 16 at the Telecoms CEO Summit in Abu Dhabi, UAE with his talk on “The Future of Wireless.” Also at the event, CommScope will host customers and other industry stakeholders at its exhibition stand (H19 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center), where it will showcase its solutions for network infrastructure in wireless, enterprise and broadband networks.

Ulf Lofberg, operations manager for Wireless Innovations, CommScope, will address the Technology Summit in Abu Dhabi. His presentation, “Analyzing the In-Building Wireless Solution Business Case,” will offer advice and guidance on the various options operators have when addressing the complexities of offering in-building coverage and capacity for wireless users.

“We are pleased to discuss our thoughts and share our expertise at these important telecom events in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi,” said Mamlouk. “CommScope has served customers in the Middle East region for many years and we look forward to meeting them and others at these events.”
