Mach Delivers End-To-End Roaming Services For Movicel

Published May 15, 2011

MACH, the leading provider of hub-based mobile communication solutions, today announced that it has deployed its comprehensive RoamHouse solution with Movicelof Angola. The deployment of this wholly integrated service enables Movicel to enhance the delivery time of its GSM roaming service to its customer base, while also optimizing revenue and driving efficiency and operational effectiveness.

In a mobile communications market defined by a sustained level of growth and evolution, mobile operators increasingly need to drive efficiency and productivity gains in order to retain competitive advantage. One of the ways in which they can do this is by engaging third party organisations such as MACH to provide expertise and resources in a managed service environment. With RoamHouse which comprises TADIG/IREG testing, billing, re-pricing, data clearing, business intelligence, fraud protection, coverage expansion solutions and financial settlement Movicel now has a single, end-to-end solution which meets all of its roaming requirements, while simultaneously reducing costs.

Carlos Brito, Deputy General Manager, Movicel, commented: “MACH’s leadership position in the mobile roaming space provided us with complete confidence to deploy this fully integrated solution. By utilising the RoamHouse model to maximise and optimise our roaming revenues, we are able to focus more closely on the needs of our subscriber base and deliver an efficient and cost-effective world-class roaming service to current and new GSM customers.”

Artur Michalczyk, Chief Product Officer, MACH explains: “The deployment of the RoamHouse solution provides Movicel with a fully integrated roaming function, which accelerates time to market for introduction of roaming services, maximises roaming profitability and reduces CAPEX costs. Through this partnership, Movicel will benefit from our extensive expertise and knowledge in the outsourced roaming space, as well as from our all-important local knowledge and on-site support, to guarantee the provision of a first-rate roaming service.”

A true global reach offering, RoamHouse provides mobile operators with the full portfolio of coverage expansionservices offered by MACH, including Bilateral Roaming services and the Link2One Roaming Hub. RoamHouse offers full roaming management for mobile operators in a partnership-style relationship: as part of this, MACH works with the local operator during both the implementation and roaming business management phases, delivering crucial on-site support. The solution provides the benefit of control, using clear governance procedures, improved customer support with a single point of contact and a well defined service level agreement(SLA). The single customer interface ensures complete responsiveness and maintains an open communications channel between the mobile operator and MACH.
