Upstream, a world leader in mobile marketing solutions, has announced at the Abu Dhabi Telecoms CEO Summit that it is opening a new regional office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This move comes after a series of successful campaigns with the region’s major operators and the growth in interest in the potential of mobile marketing to engage consumers and drive significant response rates and revenues with the right campaign.
Upstream has generated more than $500m incremental revenue for its mobile operator and brand clients - including Saudi Telecom Company, MTN, Glo Nigeria and Nestle- using the mobile channel to cross-sell and up-sell their clients’ services and products to their existing customer database.
Upstream’s mobile marketing campaigns are all run on its Marketing Communications Suite (MCS), a carrier-grade SaaS (Software as a Service) platform which consistently delivers the highest customer conversion rates in the industry. Upstream’s MCS has run over one billion interactions in 22 languages and grows in intelligence and understanding with every interaction.
With effectiveness as its singular focus, MCS increases customer responsiveness by as much as 400 per cent by using optimised communication; message contextualisation and engagement mechanics and formats through its marketing gamification engine. Upstream clients also benefit from MCS’ ability to analyse millions of interactions on a real-time basis to deliver key insights into mobile marketing campaigns as they roll-out.
Alex Vratskides, CEO, Upstream, says: “Establishing a regional base in the Middle East is an important and exciting step for Upstream and we’re pleased to bring our innovative mobile marketing techniques and technology to the marketplace. The region’s operators are open to new ideas and subscribers are hungry for interesting content, information and entertainment on their mobile.”
