Microsoft Jordan Appoints Husni Khuffash As New Country Manager

Microsoft Jordan announced the appointment of Mr. Husni Khuffash as the company’s new Country Manager in Jordan. Mr. Khuffash will spearhead Microsoft’s operations in the Kingdom by enduring the company’s contribution to the development of the ICT sector, enhancing its relationships with the Government of Jordan, customers and partner base, in addition to introducing the latest Microsoft innovations to the Kingdom.

Mr. Khuffash stated, “Over the last decade, Microsoft has had a very active and successful operation that has contributed in a number of positive ways to the Kingdom’s National ICT Strategy including consultations on best practices, training, technical and material support, knowledge transfer, investments in various initiatives and projects, in addition to supporting local ventures. As the new country manager for Microsoft Jordan, I will continue to build on that successful path to facilitate the use and adoption of technology in the public and private sectors, and ensure that our ecosystem will completely benefit from Microsoft’s wide range of innovative technologies.”

Walid Abu-Hadba, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Developer & Platform Evangelism (DPE) group stated, “I am delighted and honored that Husni Khuffash is leading Microsoft’s operations in Jordan as the new country manager. Husni has a proven outstanding track record, which is apparent through the remarkable achievements under his leadership at Aramex, Maktoob and Google. We are confident that he will further enhance Microsoft’s foundation in Jordan.”

Mr. Khuffash is an entrepreneur and management professional boasting over 17 years of experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives across industries including IT, fast-paced businesses, and online and social media.

Mr. Khuffash held the position of Business Development Team Leader for Aramex, where he established and managed the company's largest logistics service warehouse in the region and turned around City Express (Aramex distribution venture focusing on newspapers and magazines) from a loss making division into a highly profitable enterprise.

One year later he joined maktoob.com as the Regional Manager where he set up the company’s revenue model, establishing it as the leader within the online advertising industry in the region. He then moved on to launching his own consultancy firm that focused on business development, sales structuring, e-marketing/social media and online strategies.

In 2007, he joined Google as the Country Business Development Manager for the UAE and was promoted to the Regional Business Development Manager for the UAE, Lower Gulf and Levant where he was instrumental in developing and exploring strategic and operation initiatives in the region and providing market expertise to identify growth opportunities for the region.

In 2010, he took on the role of the CEO of Thoora.com (Rogers Venture) in Canada.

Mr. Khuffash received a BA of Law from Amman University and his Executive MBA from London Business School.
