du Wins ‘Network Security Project Of The Year’ At Network Middle East Awards

du has received a highly coveted Network Work Middle East Award under the ‘Network Security of Project the Year’ category. The prestigious award recognises the world-class quality of du’s cutting edge security technology projects.

The glittering event, which was recently held, celebrated innovative networking projects and recognised end users for their contribution to business, and vendors for their product leadership.

The awards, comprising of 22 categories, included more than 200 nominations spanning globally across different industries. Winners from the end user category were chosen based on their successful technology leadership and innovative use of technology to make a real business impact.

Commenting on the achievement, Walid Kamal, Senior Vice President, Technology Security & Risk Management Technology, du, said, “Winning this prestigious award is a wonderful achievement for us, and serves to further encourage us in providing world class security solutions. We aim to continue our dedication, not only by strengthening our own infrastructure, but also by providing our unique and innovative technologies to better serve our clients.”

Since inception, du has consistently maintained a challenging strategic roadmap of supporting sustainable security initiatives. The scheme eventually amounted to the largest security undertaking in the Middle East capable of deploying and managing security technologies not only for du, but also keeping other large enterprise clients in mind.

du products and services for consumers and business are available through du’s retail network, currently numbering 37 du shops located in strategic locations across the UAE, including the recently opened flagship store located in the heart of Abu Dhabi. In addition, customers can access du products and services at more than 3000 authorised dealers or through the du e-shop, accessible at http://shop.du.ae du shops are a one stop shop for mobile service, carrier select and the payment of service bills.

du is 39.5 per cent owned by the UAE Federal Government, 19.75 per cent by Mubadala Development Company, 19.5 per cent by Emirates Communications & Technology Company LLC and the remaining stake by public shareholders. It is listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and trades under the name du.
