Cairo ICT 2011 To Include 10 French Communication And IT Companies At UBIFRANCE Pavilion

Dr Magued Osman, Minister of Telecommunications, and the French Ambassador Mr Jean Félix-Paganon, will inaugurate on Wednesday May 25th the 15th Cairo ICT exhibition, one of the leading events in Communication and Information Technologies, which will be held until Saturday May 28th at Cairo International Conference Center, hosting France as guest of honour.

The French pavilion, organized by the Mission économique-UBIFRANCE, attached to the Embassy of France in Egypt, gathers 10 important French companies, including banking and insurance services, that will present their achievements in the ICT sector, and seize this world class opportunity to promote their new technologies and services to a broad spectrum of visitors expected from Egypt, Africa and the Middle-East region.

Marc El Gohary, Business developer at UBIFRANCE Cairo office announced that the French firms deal with a vast variety of products, innovations and know-how such as telecom operator, bank software, mapping software, book publishing, software for touristic and cultural sites, broadband terminals, etc. and they look forward to establishing contacts and partnerships, finding agents and representatives, as well as distributors.

Dominique Mauppin, French commercial couselor in Egypt welcomed the choice of France as guest of honour of the event, "We at UBIFRANCE, the Agency for the international development of French firms abroad, have always been confident in the Egyptian market. That is why we are present at this edition of Cairo ICT 2011, with the hope that the outcome will be beneficial for the French enterprises and all other parties concerned."

Ossama Kamal, Managing Director of Trade Fairs International, organizer of the exhibition "The ICT gathering is considered to be the largest and oldest fair in Africa and this year, part of our celebration is to have chosen France as guest of honour".

According to Hassan Behnam, Chief of regional communication at UBIFRANCE Cairo office, the French government and companies played a major role in the booming of telecommunications industry in Egypt, contributing to the development of transportation technologies, communications, electronics and other related fields. The French companies participating at ICT exhibition want to keep the momentum, considering this event as an ideal platform to exchange expertise and display their products, know-how and services in order to contribute to the execution of present and future projects in Egypt.
