Mobiserve Awarded Contract With Morocco’s INWI To Provide Full Turnkey Services

Published May 23, 2011

Mobiserve Holding, the leading solutions provider for telecommunication infrastructure engineering services in the Middle East and Africa, announced the signing of a three year contract with leading Moroccan mobile operator INWI, a subsidiary of Wana Corporation.

Mobiserve Morocco’s office will provide full turn-key supplies and services to INWI in order to expand its network coverage. Moroccan operator Wana launched its GSM mobile services under the name INWI after being awarded a GSM license in early 2009. Its current network covers roughly three quarters of the population. However, INWI has seen extraordinary subscriber growth recently and now has five million subscribers. The new project commenced April 2011 and will be entirely implemented by Mobiserve's Morocco office.

Mobiserve's CEO Mr. Sameh Atalla commented on the announcement by saying, "We’re delighted to have been selected by INWI for such a landmark project. Morocco is a highly competitive market and we’re pleased that there’s been great response to our service offerings, expertise, and project performance. It certainly validates Mobiserve’s growing success in the Moroccan market, after just one year since opening our office there.”

Mobiserve has a deep experience record in North Africa, having been present in the region for over ten years. Its expertise includes a broad range of turn-key telecommunications services, enabling operators to roll out mobile networks quickly and cost effectively. Its local staff distinguishes itself with its strong telecom related technical expertise, providing best fit services for each country in terms of network operations, maintenance and end customer needs.

"The scope of this project is to provide full turn key supplies and services to INWI. The majority of today's data centric services such as SMS, email, Blackberry, and Internet browsing require robust network coverage to be operated efficiently. We’re excited that the project will greatly enhance INWI’s network performance, enable better network coverage and improve connectivity for their end users," concluded Mr. Sameh Atalla.

For over a decade, Mobiserve has been providing operators with world class telecom infrastructure solutions and services. It is the infrastructure and roll out partner of choice for several of the region’s foremost operators including du in the UAE, Zain & STC in Saudi Arabia, Mobinil, Etisalat and Vodafone in Egypt, Safaricom in Kenya, INWI & Morocco Telecom in Morocco, Tunisiana and Orange-Tunisie in Tunisia, Djezzy and Nedjma in Algeria, Mobilink and Uphone in Pakistan, and Banglalink, as well as Aktel and GrameenPhone in Bangladesh.

The Holding Group’s range of services encompass turnkey communications solutions for next generation telecom networks, satellite services, manufacturing of telecom towers and shelters, and infrastructure deployment, along with operations and maintenance.
