Canon Middle East is marking World Environment Day 2011, with the launch of its ‘green’ calculator range including five new additions to the brand’s Arc Design Series and a new HS-20TG model which offers a touch of style to any desktop. The launch marks the company’s ongoing efforts to provide products that are produced by using recycled materials, thereby minimising its impact on the environment.
“The Arc Design Series is the next generation of design-led calculators that reaffirms our commitment to producing innovative products that are both stylish and eco conscious. Our recycled calculators take our environmental commitment further than any other product, using recycled Canon materials. The new Arc Design series and the HS-20TG model will help corporations and individuals reduce their environmental footprint,” said Sam Oommen, Product Manager, Canon Middle East.
Arc Design Series – chic and feature-packed:
The latest Arc Design Series models are designed to offer both functionality and value to business and finance professionals. Each features Canon’s premium ‘Arc’ design proposition, boasting a sleek, upward curve throughout the calculator body to provide both style and comfort.
Three of the Arc Design Series models, the AS-888, AS-220RTS and the AS-2600, have been part-manufactured using material recycled from Canon products to minimise their impact on the environment. A dual power system, a feature that is also available across all the new models, utilises solar energy alongside battery power, while an Auto-power Off feature shuts down each model after seven minutes of inactivity to help reduce unnecessary energy waste.
Canon HS-20TG:
Combining functionality with premium design, the HS-20TG features Tax and Grand Total Functions and a light gold coloured metal top case which makes it ideal for users who want to bring extra style to their desktop. Its lower case is also part manufactured from recycled Canon product material, minimising its impact on the environment.
