Blue Sky Network Expands In Middle East And Africa With New Director

Published Jun 14, 2011

Blue Sky Network, a leading, global provider of satellite tracking and communication solutions for land, sea, and aviation, is proud to announce the addition of Hamza Mohammed as Director of Business Development for Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Based in Kuwait, Mr. Mohammed brings more than a decade of experience to Blue Sky Network, and has spent the bulk of his career providing satellite communications and tracking solutions in MEA where GSM coverage is limited and satellite solutions are required for tracking and communicating.

Prior to joining Blue Sky Network, Mr. Mohammed was with Fleet Management Solutions as Regional Manager, MEA. He also was with Streamlink Communications, where he delivered a range of services and solutions to the MEA region, specifically voice and data connectivity solutions with Iridium Satellite. (Blue Sky Network is a Tier One Partner of Iridium.)
“Hamza’s knowledge of the MEA market and of fleet management products, as well as his technical skills in satellite communications, make him the ideal fit,” says Blue Sky Network CEO, Jon Gilbert. “He will provide valuable insight to our customers in MEA, where asset tracking and communication via Iridium is essential.”

“Blue Sky Network’s portfolio provides a great opportunity to expand the satellite tracking customer base in MEA,” says Mr. Mohammed. “With growing M2M industry demand, clients need to keep up with the latest in technology and be able to choose from a wide range of products to ensure their needs are met. With the ability to track aviation, marine and land mobile under one platform, and the first Iridium dual-mode solution, Blue Sky Network is uniquely positioned to help fleet management and flight tracking customers meet these critical challenges.”
