ATE AeroSurveillance Introduces The ARDENT System For Next Generation Intelligent Aerial Surveillance Solutions

Published Jun 15, 2011

ATE AeroSurveillance Inc., a subsidiary of the ATE Group, announced the introduction of its fully autonomous Airborne Real time Detection and NoTification (ARDENT™) system. ARDENT includes a high precision, gyro stabilized gimbal equipped with a choice of two HD cameras and infrared sensors, a high performance onboard computer, and a powerful broadband satellite communications system.

The ARDENT unique software suite allows real time object detection, registration, tracking, and information dissemination to surveillance operations management. The system is very compact, low weight, and designed for power sensitive airborne environments; as such, it is specifically suited for oil and gas pipeline surveillance, maritime surveillance, homeland security, and other critical infrastructure applications.

This highly autonomous system substantially improves quality of detection and time to information, reducing risk potential and operational costs.

The ARDENT system is based on proven sensor, computer, and communications technologies and strictly adheres to Open Architecture standards. Such a portable, open architecture allows the ARDENT system to be installed in a broad variety of manned and unmanned aircraft platforms in a matter of weeks.

“Leveraging the ATE Group’s 20 plus years of experience in aircraft integration, mission sensors, and sophisticated image processing, the ARDENT system allows manned and unmanned aircraft to be rapidly upgraded to the next generation aerial surveillance systems at a very affordable cost,” said Philippe M. Roy, Vice President of Business and Operations for ATE AeroSurveillance.

ATE AeroSurveillance, through its engineering group, offers complete aircraft integration services and can provide a fully integrated aircraft with all appropriate FAA authorizations, documentation, and pilot training in a matter of weeks.
