Organizational Changes At Intel Egypt

Published Jun 16, 2011

Intel Egypt announced that Eng. Taha Khalifa will be assigned the new role of Middle East and North Africa Reseller Channel Organization Sales Manager. He will be moving from his current position as Intel Egypt Country Manager and relocating to Dubai, UAE, to accept his new promotional role in August. A replacement will be announced shortly.

In his role as the Egypt Country Manager, Eng. Taha focused the team on the emerging market trends and growth opportunities in Egypt by growing the Consumer and Enterprise segments, scaling Intel’s education and World Ahead efforts in Egypt through: growing the number of teachers and students trained, expanding Intel’s Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) competition in Egypt, re-establishing skoool.com as an Education portal framework, accelerating deployments of Intel-Powered Classmate PCs in rural schools in collaboration with the MOE and the NGOs, and closely working with Telco operators to enable and promote bundling computing and connectivity.

Taha joined Intel in 1995 and has spent 11 years with Intel US where he assumed several senior engineering, marketing, and management positions in the Intel Architecture Group and the Software Services Group. Prior to his move to the Egypt, he held the position of Senior Strategic Planning Manager for Intel‘s Wireless business. He moved back to Egypt in 2006, where he assumed multiple managerial positions including Telco Business Development Manager Lead, the Middle East Turkey Africa World Ahead Regional Director, and finally the Egypt Country Manager. Taha received his Bachelor’s degree from Alexandria University, Egypt, his Masters degree in 1994 from Dundee University, UK, and his MBA degree in 2005 from Arizona State University (ASU).
