‘Harman house’, the leading retail chain in home, professional and car infotainment, is taking the hassle out of connecting a cable between your iPod and a speaker, with the launch of the new JBL ‘On-Air’ Wireless AirPlay speaker dock. The release of the new ‘On-Air’ speaker dock gives the region a first time look at Apple's revolutionary technology for streaming audio between iOS devices. The new docking device gives users the advantage of playing music from their iTunes library on a Mac or a PC, and from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device over your existing Wi-Fi network.
The JBL ‘On-Air’ speaker dock features a bright LED color display that can display album artwork and song information. Users will also have easy control and navigation of their playlist through a provided remote control making for easy navigation to next and previous track searching. As with all other AirPlay devices, the JBL ‘On-Air’ speaker dock requires iTunes 10.1 or newer software versions and iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iOS 4.2 or any of the latest iOS versions.
“Since the unveiling of our very first iPod dock, Harman has always been at the forefront of creating the most cutting-edge products for consumers,” said Amit Malani, President, Harman Middle East. “With the new JBL ‘On-Air’ wireless speaker dock, JBL will set the standard again by introducing a solution for music lovers to store, access and listen to their music content for an even greater seamless music experience within the home.”
The JBL ‘On-Air’ speaker dock comes equipped with three advanced JBL transducers and a unique 360-degree HALO (horizontal acoustic level optimization) acoustics design that results in the delivery of a rich, full spectrum sound uniformly distributed across a wide listening area. The device also employs proprietary JBL technology like digital signal processing, which maximizes sound quality and output under any listening conditions. The speaker will also stream internet radio stations through a computer’s iTunes application, and feature an RDS equipped FM tuner with 10 station presets and dual alarms. Harman has also revealed that the JBL ‘On-Air’ wireless speaker dock is priced at AED 1,499 and is now available at all 'harman house' retail store locations throughout the GCC.
“Harman Middle East is excited to be a part of this new groundbreaking technology in audio systems. JBL is one of the very few companies that have started to produce speaker systems supporting the ‘AirPlay’ concept, and has been chosen by Apple because of the high standards and quality of innovation that we have been widely known for,” concluded Malani.
