BenQ Goes Green

Published Jun 23, 2011

BenQ, the world's leading expert in LED Monitors, has launched its latest range of BL-Series LED Monitors – a cost-effective and eco-friendly monitor for corporate users in the Middle East.

Specially optimized for office work stations and built with the latest LED backlight technology, the new monitor cuts down power consumption by 33% a year – saving businesses a fortune on energy costs. In addition, the new BL-Series LED monitor’s ultra-flexible height adjustment system (HAS) allows workers to tailor the height, tilt, pivot, stroke and swivel adjustment to perfectly fit their individual needs thereby facilitating better productivity and efficiency at work.

General Manager of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa, Manish Bakshi, said: “The new BL-series LED monitor has been designed to provide four outstanding qualities - Ergonomic, Economical, Eco-friendly and Enjoyable.

“Our latest LED backlighting technology, which enables a highly durable and stable performance on brightness and color presentation as well as extended usable lifespan for business solutions through a wide array of energy-efficient features, creates cost efficiencies. On the other hand, its ergonomic design enables work-efficiency and better productivity.

“And with all these working together, BenQ, as a leader in the LED monitor market, has once again provided a winning solution for the business community with its latest range of BL-Series LED Monitors,” added Bakshi.

Another cost-saving feature is the added built-in speakers to the BL series. Not having to buy separate sound systems means businesses can save up more money.

On average, office workers spend about 20% of their working time away from their computers – often without turning them off. The Eco Sensor feature of the new BL series automatically switches the monitor to Eco Mode when users step away from their desks and switches back to normal mode when users return – effectively saving considerable energy and money, which would result in lower monthly electricity bills.

Equipped with an automatic eye-protect sensor, the new monitor automatically detects the ambient light levels and sets the monitor's brightness to the most optimal level of clarity and comfort all through the day – effectively reducing eye fatigue. The BenQ BL LED monitor also features an anti-glare, matt-finish display to keep distracting reflections to a minimum, giving workers a squint-free, comfortable and easy to read environment.

The new BL-Series is also made of recyclable plastic materials and uses greener packaging. Built to successfully minimize waste and environmentally harmful pollution, the BenQ BL monitors are coating-free and 100% recyclable – with 65% of the monitor frame made of recycled plastics. It also comes with an extra green packaging for easier recycling. All materials used for packaging are EPS-free – with all PVC or foamed plastics replaced with recyclable paper cushion. Moreover, recycled paper is used for 80% packing to save forests.

The new BenQ BL-Series will soon be available in the Middle East and comes in six models: BL2400PT, BL902TM, BL902M, BL2201PT, BL2201M, BL2201. For further information, please visit www.BenQ.co.ae.
